In September 2009, Michael Meier will return to the Orbis DC-10 Flying Eye Hospital. Joining the crew during the program in Jaipur, India and Chittagong, Bangladesh, Michael will report from the aircraft and the hospital to tell you the stories as they happen.

Orbis is a global development organization with the goal to improve eyecare standards all around the world. To do so, Orbis provides surgery and trains local doctors on board of their own aircraft, a DC-10 which has been converted into the world's only Flying Eye Hospital.

In the past ten years, Airsider published a number of reports on Orbis. Michael Meier, Airsider Editor-in-Chief, joined the Flying Eye Hospital crew during their program in Varna, Bulgaria in 2005. Articles have been published on Airsider as well as in leading Swiss newspaper NZZ (Neue Zürcher Zeitung).

Michael Meier has now returned to Orbis for their Flying Hospital programs in Jaipur, India and Chittagong, Bangladesh.
